Who Else Wants to Find the Perfect Gift on eBay, Part I

Ah, the perfect gift… Is that what you’re looking for? Well, forget that nasty music at the mall and those over-perfected ladies at 5-star department stores. It’s all so passé!

Today’s perfect gifts can be found online. Sit back, enjoy the music that you like, and start shopping.

Coming from a family of 12 (yes, 12!), I have lots of experience buying and receiving gifts. In our family there are six boys, six girls. I like to buy for the girls because they are so expressive: “Oh, wow! I’ve always wanted this!” But the fellows, they are just a bit of a mystery.

If you are looking for the “perfect gift,” I have a great suggestion for you: find your gift recipient’s connection to history. eBay offers probably the most amazing selection in the world for a vintage or history-related gifts.

Here’s an example: if your recipient (brother, dad, guy friend, etc.) is an electrician and is also interested in history, try a search for “electrician” then narrow by “historical memorabilia.” Where else but eBay can you search like this?

I think that the historical connection is a great method of searching for gifts – for guys and gals. Let’s say your best friend’s grandparents came to America in the 1920s and settled in Boston. A search for “Boston 1920s” will find scores of postcards that you can frame, then give, and you will be the perfect historian gift-giver!

My favorite history-related seller on eBay is “history-image”. Whether your recipient has connections to Italy or Idaho, you will find very high quality photographs that will please any history buff (and you can even save time and have the photos framed!).

The holidays are a time to celebrate our families and our family history. eBay is a great place to find the perfect gift to do just that.
