Here’s a Quick Way to Choose What to Sell

If you are like me, you’ve got a whole bunch of items that you could sell – a closet here, a closet there, a box in the garage… but where to start? Maybe there’s something you are just too embarrassed to list: the Aha CD, perhaps? Hey, I bought one of those, too – it was the 80s!

Start with “Want it Now.” This is another brilliant marketing idea by eBay. Take a look at
this page and take it from there.

As a seller, “Want it Now” is your good friend. First, you can search for buyers who are looking for that Aha CD, or a vintage Easy Bake Oven, or 10 pounds of buttons.

Check in often to see what buyers are looking for… sometimes there are buyers who missed the “one chance” for what they were searching for when an auction ended before they placed a winning bid. There are also potential buyers who have one particular item in mind (and you would be surprised by the breadth of items included) and they would love to hear from you, the seller with the goods for which they are searching.

To use “Want it Now” eBay requires that you submit a listed item to the wanting buyer. No problem – if you have the item, list it! It could be a Model A car or a big box of junk jewelry. If you have it, and a potential buyer is looking for it, list it! Just make sure that what you have is a close match to what the buyer is looking for.

One of the best features of “Want it Now!” is e-mail notification. Just submit a description, and select a time period (7 days to 12 months) and you will receive a message every time a potential buyer gets hungry for what you have and posts their desire at “Want it Now.”
