eBay While You Work

Blame Snow White. It was the movie Snow White that featured that annoying little ditty, “Whistle While You Work.”

Now that we’re happily in the 21st century, let’s change the tune to “eBay While You Work.”

Do you know about the eBay toolbar? Sure, you’ve seen the links every time you log on, but if you’re like me you are eager to either check your sales or get shopping. The other day a friend of mine asked me about it and I had to admit, I didn’t know much about the eBay toolbar.

Let me tell you: the eBay toolbar is wonderful. It’s quick (and free) to download. After completing the download, you will have a new toolbar at the top of your Internet browser. The eBay toolbar allows you to customize what shows up at the top of your screen. You can keep track of your buying and selling; receive an alert when you’ve been outbid or when an item that you are watching is about end; and even be notified when a seller sends you a second chance offer. You can also browse for your favorite items using a pull-down menu.

The toolbar is not only fun, but also safe. Its “site indicator” safety feature lets you know whether you are on an eBay-verified site or a potential spoof site.

Best of all, it’s discreet. So you really can “eBay while you work.”

By the way: sorry about putting that “Whistle While You Work” song in your head…

Just whistle while you work (whistle)
Put on that grin and start right in
to whistle loud and long
Just hum a merry tune (hum)
Just do your best and take a rest
